Need a way to count your downloads.... for FREE ?
Regardless of if you host with us or not, we'd be pleased to list your FREEWARE in our freeware archive list. Well.... we're not going to be competing with the likes of download.com, at least not anytime soon. But rather, this is what WE use to track our downloads.... and now we are offering it's use to YOU at absolutely no charge. Why? Well.... we hope to get the archive at least a bit more useful to OTHERS, including those who just manage to surf in as end users and not developers. So, why not get yours listed.
Use the FEEDBACK link to your left and let us know about your freeware... We'd be pleased to list it. Then, use the link generated by our archive system on YOUR web site, so that your visitors who download, do so via OUR link. We recently had some complaints that our site was creating popup windows and
even file download attempts. We have investigated and found that the
module from Jokes2Go.com, that loaded
jokes to our site in real time was to blame. This is absolutely BAD
BUSINESS on the Internet. It is bad enough when popups are an issue, but
to create rich media that initiates a file download to the users machine is
absolutely unforgivable, and has earned this site a permanent position in the
Software Zone's Hall Of BS.
If you have previously
installed this module on YOUR site as a result of finding it here.... our
apologies to you. Do yourself and your visitors a favor and remove the
offending code.
